It seems that to wear a cloche with verve you either have to be French or have lived in the 1920's. Well, these ladies were originally from the 1920's so that explains their sense of style. But they're not French. They're German, and actually made of bisque in the original porcelain firm that first produced them, from the original molds, and hand-painted, too. The glass stoppers serve as dabbers, if you actually want to use them. Sold as a pair.

Handmade in Germany by the noted artist Atelier Werner-Brauer, the nesting chicken candy container pull-toy is made exactly from the 1880 molds, and is signed by the artist. Authentic details of the original paper mache pull-toy include cast-iron wheels, old glass eyes, and realistic “dusted” painting for aged look. The head can be removed to reveal the hidden candy container.

The hand-painted art glass shade has delicate blue background with clouds, rainbows and playfully tumbling Kewpies. The bronze-like base and finial provides a perfect balance.
