The 19” bunny is completely hand-crafted and hand-painted from his glass eyes to blue flannel felt marching uniform with brass buttons and epaulets. His design, including the hidden candy container in his torso, the wooden base and hands perfectly shaped to hold drumsticks, was taken directly from authentic 19th-century German molds. The image of little elves busily working alongside Santa all-year is so ingrained in our collective unconscious that just one look at this elf seated upon a candy container base and people will assume the box holds a treasure for them.
